As the global energy landscape shifts toward innovation, diversification, and international cooperation, a new chapter is unfolding with the strategic alignment of business leaders from the United States, Kuwait, and Bulgaria. At the center of this development is Bulgarian entrepreneur Kalin Edrev, who continues to solidify his position as a key figure in the Middle East energy sector.

In November 2024, Kalin Edrev signed with one of his companies in the US a Joint Venture agreement in Kuwait with Mohammed A. Khorsheed, CEO of Global Oil Center Kuwait. The partnership marked a significant move to align American energy investment with the Gulf’s vast infrastructure and resource-driven opportunities.

But the collaboration didn’t stop there. Just two weeks ago, during a visit to Bulgaria, Khorsheed and Edrev formalized the next phase of this alliance by registering a new company: Global Oil Center Kuwait in Bulgaria Ltd. The new entity aims to serve as a strategic bridge between the energy interests of the Middle East and Southeastern Europe.

The joint venture represents more than a business expansion. It embodies a vision to foster transcontinental cooperation in the energy sector at a time when energy security, renewable transitions, and cross-border technology sharing are more critical than ever.

Just a few days ago. On August 26 this year, Global oil Kuwait Bulgaria, represented by its twoowners Kalin Edrev and Mohamed Khorsahes, signed an agreement with Factori Ad, which ispart of a cross-border ecosystem connecting public markets, private equity, regulated financialinfrastructure, asset management, real assets and digital finance, one of the companies that is a shareholder in WIENER PRIVETBANK AUSTRIA.

The Ecosystem of Companies represents a multi-layered, cross-border platform designed to connect traditional finance, capital markets, custody, real assets, asset management and tokenization into one integrated ,investment architecture. At the core of the ecosystem stands Alpha Bulgaria AD, a Bulgarian public company listed on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange, which serves as the strategic holding and expansion platform. Around it are positioned AIF Alpha Fund AD as the capital deployment and alternative investment vehicle, Factori AD as the regulated investment intermediary and custody infrastructure in Bulgaria, Wiener Privatbank SE as the Austrian banking and custody anchor, and Matejka & Partner Asset Management GmbH as the dedicated asset and fund management platform. Alpha Bulgaria is also in the process ofexpanding into hard infrastructure through ENIT, where a large-scale data center development is planned. The ecosystem is now evolving further with the addition of Real Technologies, a digital-asset and tokenization initiative, and cooperation involving Oman Investment Authority, whose scale and strategic relevance add a significant international dimension. Based on the information provided, Real Technologies is developing a tokenization platform model involving a large-scale token issuance, subsequent stablecoin architecture and custody through Wiener Privatbank SE, while the OIA-linked fund base introduces the prospect of very substantial asset tokenization.
